A Florida couple was shocked to discover 65 lbs. of marijuana stashed in their Amazon order, according to WFLA.

The couple reportedly knew something was off as soon as they picked up the 27-gallon storage totes they bought from the online retailer.

“They were extremely heavy, heavier than you would think from ordering four empty bins,” the woman said.

She decided to open the bins, according to WFLA, and was met with the strong odor of marijuana. After digging through several layers of packaging, the anonymous woman discovered large quantities of the substance.

The woman immediately got in touch with Orlando police.

“When the first officer got there she was in disbelief,” the woman told WFLA.

Authorities took the marijuana and began an investigation into where they originated from.

According to WFLA, the storage bins were shipped by Amazon “Warehouse Deals” through UPS from a facility in Massachusetts.

The couple has been going back and forth with Amazon for nearly a month, the woman said. They have reportedly not yet spoken to a supervisor.

She told WFLA they finally received an email offering them a $150 gift card. The sender claimed they were “unable to do anything else at this time.”

The woman doesn’t feel it’s enough. She and her fiancé want an apology and an explanation as to how the marijuana ended up in their storage bin shipment.

“There was no concern for a customer’s safety. I mean this could have turned into a worst-case scenario,” she said.

She and her fiancé chose to remain anonymous due to concerns for their safety. She also told WFLA they stayed away from their home for several days as they feared someone may attempt to break in.

“We were still pretty fearful our home would be broken into and we didn’t sleep there for a few days,” she said.
