Chris Cuomo just gave Corey Lewandowski a civics lesson.

The former Trump campaign manager, who has been battered by the media for saying “womp womp” on live TV after hearing a 10-year-old immigrant girl with Down syndrome had been taken from her parents at the at the U.S.-Mexico border, was drilled by the CNN anchor during a tense interview Thursday evening.

Lewandowski — despite his lack of sympathy for undocumented immigrants — appears uneducated on the politics surrounding the issue.

“Who signed the 2008 law that guides the immigration policy today?” Cuomo asked.

“Barack Obama,” Lewandowski answered.

“Wrong. It was signed by President Bush. I’m not big into politics, blame game. I think there are problems with both sides, thus why we’ve been stuck with a bad system that is inhumane on many levels,” Cuomo said.

“Bush signed it. It says you can’t keep juveniles more than 20 days.”

Cuomo didn’t stop there.

“It isn’t about the law. It’s how you choose to enforce it. Bush struggled with this. Obama struggled with this. Trump was struggling with this, but decided to do this, proxy of strength in the form of harshness,” he said.

“Let’s arrest them all. But he wasn’t ready for it, and he created a crisis, Corey. That’s the truth.”

Cuomo’s lecture concluded a nightmare day for Lewandowski.

Leading Authorities Inc., a high-profile Washington D.C.-based speakers bureau, cut ties with the besieged consultant earlier in the day amid ongoing backlash over his cold-hearted commentary.
