They must be out of their gourds.

McDonald’s will start serving pumpkin spice lattes on Aug. 31, almost a full month before fall starts, Delish reports.

The ubiquitous seasonal sip debuted at the fast food giant three years ago. Now, the fall beverage will be served nationwide at the end of the month.

McDonald’s uses “hints of pumpkin and cinnamon flavors” to create a latte that’s also made with espresso and steamed with whole or non-fat milk.

Perhaps the early launch is a way for McDonald’s to squash its PSL competition — Starbucks. The Seattle-based coffee chain released its annual iteration on Sept. 8 last year and has yet to annnounce a date for the 2016 season. It will however sling bottled Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos at grocery stores across the country.

McDonald’s isn’t the only eatery that’s serving the pumpkin-flavored beverages while people are still wearing bathing suits.

Peet’s Coffee cafes will start selling three versions of the fall beverage also on Aug. 31. In addition to the regular PSL, there’s a Pumpkin Chai infused with Mighty Leaf Masala Chai, pumpkin and spices.
