Mayor de Blasio wakes up in a city that doesn’t sleep — but that doesn’t mean he’s napping on the job, a staffer said Monday.

City Hall spokesman Eric Phillips shot down a report from a troubled tabloid that said Hizzoner frequently gets 40 winks on his office couch after his well-documented morning workouts.

“Of course not!” Phillips said, when asked if Mayor de Blasio was a regular snoozer.

A former de Blasio staffer who helped get him elected as public advocate in 2009 also questioned the report’s claim that the mayor was known to nap on that campaign trail as well.

“I disagree with @BilldeBlasio plenty but I was with him nearly every day of his 09 PA campaign and I don’t remember him taking naps,” wrote Matt Wing, currently an executive with Uber.
