President Trump hits his all-time low approval rating in CNN survey showing strong distrust of the White house

President Trump has hit his all-time low approval rating in yet another poll — this one from his most hated news network.

A CNN survey published Tuesday showed Trump with 38% approval — his lowest score yet from the news network, and the lowest CNN score from any first-year President since Bill Clinton, who earned 44% approval in 1993.

Trump’s overall disapproval stands at 56%, and support from his biggest bases has been plummeting. The survey of 1,018 adults said Trump’s strong approval from Republicans is 59% — a 14-point drop from February. His strong approval from whites without college degrees — one of his core demographics — is 35%, which is 12 points down from February.

Meanwhile, only 24% of Americans say they trust all or most of what they hear from the White House — lower than the 30% who said they trust “nothing at all” coming from the Trump administration.

The most encouraging score in the entire survey is the number of Americans who still feel things in the country are going well: 53%, about the same as it has been for three months.

In his first 200 days, Trump has hit historic low approval ratings in nearly all mainstream polls, and even bottomed out in Rasmussen Reports — a right-leaning survey Trump has often championed as the most “accurate” overview of his performance.

Trump has made CNN one his biggest media targets, going as far as tweeting a meme depicting him beating up the cable news channel.

Trump likes to claim that he doesn’t watch CNN anymore, but he’s done a poor job proving that.

On Monday, a morning CNN interview with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) seemed to trigger Trump into lashing out at the lawmaker in a series of tweets spanning several hours.
