A police officer accidentally shot himself in the leg during a Bronx car stop Friday.

The 41st Precinct officer’s firearm went off when he slipped on Simpson St. and Westchester Ave. in Foxhurst about 2:30 p.m.

He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital with minor wound to his right leg.

Witnesses saw cops trying to pull someone out of a vehicle when the shot was heard. “Thirty seconds later three guys jump into a cop car and sped away,” witness Jonathan Ortiz, 26, said.

“Afterwards the cops detained a female and a male.”
