Someone thought her clothes weren’t PG.

A Michigan college student wearing jean shorts and a “Finding Nemo” tank top was kicked out of the mall for “inappropriate dress.”

Hannah Pewee, a 20-year-old from the Grands Rapids area, said she was at the Woodland Mall on Saturday in part to escape from the 90-degree heat outside.

The Grand Valley State University student posted on Facebook that she had been approached by a security guard and told to leave after an anonymous person reported her.

“Apparently, how I was dressed (see photo below) was too slutty for the public,” she said next to a photo of her supposedly scandalous sartorial choice.

Pewee said in the post, shared more than 7,000 times as of Tuesday afternoon, that the encounter almost left her in tears.

Outrage over what many people took as a case of “slut-shaming” — bizarrely aimed at a Disney cartoon shirt — soon led to an apology.

“Yesterday we reached out to the shopper to personally apologize and come to a resolution. We also addressed hundreds of comments across Social Media, but we’d still like to make a public apology for unintentionally embarrassing a shopper who was asked to leave our Mall,” the Mall posted on Facebook.

“We can assure you that the enforcement of our dress code was solely motivated by complaints from other shoppers of inadequate clothing coverage not reflected in the photo posted online. We dropped the ball by enforcing a dress code that didn’t take into consideration current summer trend,” it said, adding that it is reviewing the code.

Pewee said that she received a person phone call from the mall’s management, and added that she was thankful for all the support she received from across the country.
