Tom Hanks shames Upper East Side driver for leaving six parking tickets on his car

Sometimes, parking in the city is like a box of chocolates — you never know what type of ticket you’re going to get.

An Upper East Side motorist received several tickets — and the attention of Oscar-award winning actor Tom Hanks, who made a plea to have the car moved on Saturday.

“Sir? Move. Your. Car! Hanx,” the “Sully” and “Forrest Gump” star tweeted about 11 a.m. when he posted a picture of the burgundy sedan with at least six crumpled tickets stuffed under the wiper blades.

Within two hours, NYPD Assistant Commissioner for Communication and Public Information Peter Donald tweeted back to the “Da Vinci Code” breaker, asking him where the car was located.

“Thanks for the flag @tomhanks,” Donald wrote.

Cops from the 19th Precinct quickly found the vehicle on E. 79th St. and Park Ave., and learned that all of the tickets adorning the windshield had been paid.

“We checked the license plate and there are no outstanding summonses,” a police source said. “He probably pays them online but leaves them on his windshield.”

The car has since been moved by its owner, the source said.
