A man was fatally shot in the groin inside a Brooklyn check cashing spot after an argument Friday afternoon, police said.

Shaheem Bernard and Efrain Rivera started fighting with one another in the CFSC Check Cashing Place on Broadway near Fayette St. in Bushwick just before 1 p.m., according to cops.

Rivera drew a gun and opened fire, critically wounding his 20-year-old victim, police said.

Medics rushed Bernard to Kings County Hospital, where he died, authorities said.

Cops recovered a 9-mm. handgun from Rivera, 20, who lives just five blocks from the scene. He was charged with murder and weapons possession.

The slaying comes as murders across the city have dropped 15% this year, NYPD records show.

Cops investigated 253 killings though Nov. 19. this year, compared to 299 during the same period in 2016, statistics show.
