Mark Ruffalo to headline Mayor de Blasio’s re-election fundraiser in Manhattan

Actor Mark Ruffalo will add some more star power to a re-election fundraiser for Mayor de Blasio in Manhattan this week.

Ruffalo will headline the fete alongside actor Steve Buscemi, a longtime de Blasio ally who his campaign announced last week as a special guest.

Tickets for the Wednesday night fundraiser at the Ronald Feldman Gallery in SoHo start at $100, with donors who give $1,000 gaining access to a VIP Reception, according to an invitation to the event.

De Blasio also traveled to Washington, D.C. last week to raise cash for his re-election bid, at a fundraiser at the at the American Federation of Teachers’ headquarters.

He has not yet attracted a high-profile mayoral opponent, but state Sen. Tony Avella and former City Councilman Sal Albanese have announced primary campaigns against him.
