The Mooch now has an attack pooch — and he’s going after Reince Priebus, too.
A man who has been quoted as Anthony Scaramucci PR rep continued the shame campaign against Priebus on Sunday by publicly accusing the ousted White House chief of staff of having an affair.
“Hey @Reince45. Oops; @Reince – you’re unemployed now. Keep pushing this crap & I’ll start dropping oppo on you. Mistress much, ?” Arthur Schwartz wrote in a tweet tagging Priebus’ handle.
In his message, Schwartz also retweeted a screenshot from a Huffington Post story detailing how Priebus had warned President Trump not to hire Scaramucci in the White House because Priebus feared Scaramucci might having compromising financial ties to China. Scaramucci joined the White House this month as its new communications director.
After dropping the affair accusation against Priebus — with no details backing it up — Schwartz embarked in a Twitter war with CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Propublica reporter Jessica Huseman, in which he denied being employed as Scaramucci’s spokesman.
“I’m a friend of his. Don’t cite fake news sources saying that I’m his publicist,” he wrote in a tweet to Huseman.
Schwartz has been quoted as a Scaramucci rep several times in the past week in stories about Scaramucci’s wife filing for divorce just days after her husband got his White House gig.
Schwartz claimed on Twitter that after he started speaking to press on Scaramucci’s behalf, the hot-headed White House honcho ” called to yell at me & told me to cut it out.” He also threatened to sue Tapper for asking if he is Scaramucci’s rep, writing in one tweet, “Keep it up and you’ll be hearing from counsel.”
Schwartz could not immediately be reached for comment. Priebus and Scaramucci did not immediately react to the tweets.
Scaramucci and Priebus had a running feud this year that culminated in Priebus getting pushed out of Trump’s White House on Friday, only one week after Scaramucci started working there. Homeland Secretary Secretary John Kelly will be taking over as chief of staff.
Priebus’ demise came in the middle of a chaotic 48 hours for Scaramucci, a former Wall Street investor with no previous political experience.
One day earlier, Scaramucci called New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza and launched into a foul-mouthed tirade against top Trump staffers, including Priebus, who he called “a f—— paranoid schizophrenic.”
On Friday, as Priebus stepped down, Scaramucci’s second wife Deirdre Ball filed for divorce, blaming her husband’s “naked political ambition” for Trump’s approval.
Ball reportedly gave birth to a son on Monday in New York City as Scaramucci joined Trump at the Boy Scouts Jamboree in West Virginia.
