Janet Jackson welcomed her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana on Tuesday, a baby boy named Eissa.

“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” her rep said in a statement to PEOPLE.

“Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”

The 50-year-old singer confirmed her pregnancy in October, but rumors began swirling in May after she postponed her “Unbreakable Tour” to focus on starting a family.

Jackson wed Al Mana, a 42-year-old Qatari businessman and billionaire, in a secret ceremony in 2012, her third marriage.

The “Rhythm Nation” singer maintained a low profile during her pregnancy, except for a message in November to reassure her fans that she was doing well.

“Hey you guys.. It’s been awhile.. but I’m still listening,” she wrote on Twitter. “I feel your love and prayers.. Thank you.. and I’m doing well.”
