Carlos is in real danger this time.
Selfie-sending sleaze Anthony Weiner targeted a 15-year-old high school sophomore with his latest round of creepy internet come-ons — and could now face hard time for his ceaseless sexting.
The pervy ex-politician’s potential legal woes emerged after his cyber-squeeze of the past eight months was exposed Wednesday as an underage North Carolina girl.
Texts showed that Weiner, a 52-year-old father of a 4-year-old boy, knew the recipient of his creepy correspondence was no adult.
The knowledge hardly halted the skin-crawling sexual communiqués that could land the disgraced former congressman in the cross hairs of federal or state prosecutors.
The insatiable Weiner — dumped by his wife Huma Abedin just last month in another sex scandal — implored the teen to join him in rape fantasies and wear risqué “schoolgirl” outfits, the Daily Mail said in a bombshell report.
While Weiner’s son was taking a bath downstairs in their Manhattan home, “he asked me to take my clothes off and just started saying these really sexual things,” the teen told the Mail. “He would tell me to say his name as I was touching myself.”
In one shirtless photo sent to the girl, Weiner’s hand sits firmly on his genitals. And in a text message sent via an encryption app, Weiner mentioned a proposed sexual encounter that would make the young girl “limp for a week,” the Mail reported.
Weiner, according to the Mail, used the online alias T Dog and texted the teen with this sick wakeup call, “I thought of you this morning. Hard.”
The teen claimed Weiner sent her nude photos using a confidential message app that automatically deletes messages — and images — once they are viewed.
Among those outraged by the sex-obsessed Weiner’s new, potentially criminal low was Gov. Cuomo. “If the reports are true, it’s possibly criminal and it is sick,” snapped Cuomo. “And frankly, I’ve heard enough about Anthony Weiner — and I think that goes for all New Yorkers.”
One of Weiner’s former messaging mistresses agreed. “Obviously, it’s wrong. It’s a 15-year-old girl,” Traci Nobles, 40, told the Daily News.
Nobles, a former cheerleading coach from Athens, Ga., who was caught up in an extramarital online relationship with Weiner in 2011, said the latest texting transgression proves he’s a sick man.
“This situation with a minor shows a side with his sickness,” she said. “(He has) a potential disease similar to any addict.”
Weiner’s online woes date back five years, including a 2013 dalliance where he famously operated under the nom de porn “Carlos Danger.”
But the details about the Tar Heel State teen posed a potential criminal prosecution of Weiner, whose demons torpedoed his six-year marriage.
Under federal law, it is illegal “to persuade, induce, entice, or coerce a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for purposes of producing visual depictions of that conduct,” according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
The charge carries a maximum prison term of 30 years.
Weiner is already under investigation by the city Administration for Children’s Service over a creepy crotch shot message to another woman where his son appeared as a prop.
Incredibly, Weiner sent the Carolina girl a similar photo where he’s holding son Jordan while exposing his toned midriff.
“ACS takes all allegations of child abuse seriously, and we routinely investigate new allegations pertaining to current open cases,” the agency said in a statement.
New York State law carries a possible 15-year prison term for anyone convicted of inducing a child under age 17 to “engage in a sexual performance.”
Experts say prosecutors would need the girl or someone close to her to come forward to build a strong case. Police can investigate even without her cooperation.
Weiner declined to answer any questions, instead issuing a statement asserting that he was the victim of a hoax. He never denied exchanging lewd messages with the girl.
“I have repeatedly demonstrated terrible judgment about the people I have communicated with online and the things I have sent,” said Weiner.
“I am filled with regret and heartbroken for those I have hurt. While I have provided the Daily Mail with information showing that I have likely been the subject of a hoax, I have no one to blame but me for putting myself in this position. I am sorry.”
The News independently confirmed the identity of the girl and her father. The dad declined further comment Wednesday afternoon, citing a nondisclosure agreement reached by the family with the Daily Mail.
In their first chat, Weiner called the teen “kinda sorta gorgeous” and agreed to the girl’s suggestion to Skype. Their initial back-and-forth wasn’t sexual, with Weiner asking at one point where she went to school. The teen replied with the name of her North Carolina high school. The alleged conversations continued for months, and only grew more sexually charged.
The girl and the former elected official even joked at one point about the “Carlos Danger” scandal.
“What was the nickname joke? Carlos Danger?” the teen texted.
“You can (c)all me anything,” shot back Weiner.
“Would you like to call me something?” the teen asked.
“Mine,” said Weiner.
“Smooth,” replied the girl with a winking emoji.
The girl told the Mail that she was opposed to bringing charges against Weiner because their relationship was consensual from her end. The father agreed to go along with his daughter’s wishes.
NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill told The News he was not aware of any allegations against Weiner.
The alleged online relationship is the most damning yet of the serial sexting scandals that derailed Weiner’s once-promising political career. His congressional job disappeared in 2011 after he accidentally posted a pic of his bulging crotch on his Twitter account.
The photo was intended for a 21-year-old Seattle college student. Weiner, a seven-term Democrat, stepped down in June 2011.
Weiner then torpedoed his underdog 2013 run for New York City mayor when new sexts emerged from his chats with 22-year-old Sydney Leathers.
Leathers parlayed their online relationship into a porn movie titled “Weiner and Me.”
The final straw for his wife came last month when another batch of sexts emerged — including the raunchy picture featuring the couple’s young son. Abedin said that after “long and painful consideration,” she was finally dumping Weiner. Abedin remains a top adviser to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
