He beat the rap — almost.

Sidney Royel Selby, better known as Desiigner, was released without bail Saturday after being arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on three misdemeanor counts of menacing and drug possession — but no gun charges.

The Brooklyn rapper, sporting a red quilted jacket, appeared before the judge right after his three friends and the hired driver who were with him Thursday night when a road rage argument landed them in police custody.

Selba’s lawyer told the judge accusations the rapper pointed a gun from the car window were bogus — and police never found a weapon.

“There’s nothing here. There’s nothing recovered,” said Selby’s attorney, Adam Konta. “There really is nothing here.”

The lawyer for the three friends of Selby, who is known for his single “Panda” which rose to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in April, argued the same.

“These three gentlemen are really accused of nothing,” attorney Ian Niles said.

The three friends, identified in the criminal complaint as Michael Davis, 19, Utril Rhaburn, 23 and CJ McCoy, 21, were each hit with a count of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

“They tried to keep me in but when you’re doing right they can’t,” said a vindicated Selby,19, as he climbed into a luxury BMW waiting for him outside of court.

He later connected with rapper Tyga — who like Desiigner is signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D. music label — to drop a bundle at Gucci.

“You got to know your worth, I know I’m not supposed to be in (jail),” he told TMZ cameras as he and Tyga exited with 10 bags.

They also flashed their wealth on Instragram, posting videos of them shopping and fanning out huge wads of cash.

Selby’s driver, however, didn’t make such a grand exit.

Cops said they found the gun, Oxycontin and other drugs — leading to initial charges of drug and weapon possession and menacing for the Bedford-Stuyvesant-based rapper and his crew.

Scott Siegel, 42, was hit with felony drug charges when cops found a cache of pills in his car and his gym bag, the criminal complaint said.

He was also charged with forgery for carrying two falsified active-duty firefighter plaques with him, cops said. Bail was set at $5,000 for him.

Siegel was driving a white Cadillac Escalade Thursday around 8:15 p.m., with Selby in the rear right passenger seat, when they exchanged words with the driver of another car at W. 42nd St. and Eighth Ave., cops said.

Selby was accused of flicking a cigarette at the driver and then “point(ing) what appeared to be a barrel of a black firearm” at him, the complaint said.

“F— you, do whatever you want,” Shelby yelled, according to the complaint.

The victim took down the SUV’s license plate number and called cops, who stopped Selby a few blocks away.

Cops found Siegel’s two forged firefighter plaques along with a treasure trove of methamphetamines and other drugs, the complaint said.

But the defense team said the accusations were all wrong.

“It’s dangerous to say that just because there were four black men in a car they had guns and drugs,” Niles said.

The pills cops found were anabolic steroids used by Siegel, a chauffeur and bodyguard Desiigner had hired for the night, the attorneys said.

But the Assistant District Attorney told the judge the investigation would continue and more charges might be brought given the large amount of drugs cops found.
