Cops are investigating a bizarre threat in which someone threatened to “shoot up” a Brooklyn high school unless he was paid a hefty sum, police sources said Thursday.

The threat was made at Lincoln High School on Ocean Parkway in Coney Island Tuesday morning when the unidentified caller reached out to school administrators and said he would shoot up the school if he didn’t receive $20,000.

Investigators quickly realized that the caller wasn’t an active shooter, but an active goofer — and probably a disgruntled student — when he said he also wanted an assistant principal to write “Lizard Squad” on his forehead and post a picture of himself on the school website, sources said.

The name of the assistant principal was not disclosed.

The school was placed on a brief shelter-in — meaning students were directed to remain in the building until cops investigating the threat gave the all clear, according to city Education Department officials.

Cops are investigating the threat — although it’s believed to be a prank, police sources said.
