Cops stun gun dual-wielding swordsman menacing people in Brooklyn park

Police used a stun gun to bring down a man with a death wish and swords in both hands who was menacing people at a Brooklyn park Monday night, cops said.

Cops arrived at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick around 8 p.m. and some of the 50 people present pointed out the suspect.

The 56-year-old man ran from the park down Irving Ave. park and turned left onto Troutman St.

Officers Bisham Ramroop, Randy Shankar, Thomas Coleman, Daniel Pagan and Ryan Kelly surrounded and isolated the man and ordered him to drop his weapons.

Instead, he unsheathed what looked like two swords, one longer than the other, and said, “You’re gonna have to kill me,” said Sgt. Brendan Ryan.

The officers then called Sgt. Tara King to the scene, and she fired a stun gun, hitting the suspect in the back, cops said.

The man, whose name has not been released, dropped to the ground and was taken into custody, cops said.
