A second male model has accused famed New York photographer Bruce Weber of sexual harassment.
Mark Ricketson, 31, stepped forward Tuesday to say Weber preyed on him during a photo shoot at his Manhattan studio in 2005.
“He told me I ‘looked tense’ and proceeded to press his thumb on my forehead,” Ricketson said, explaining they were alone at the time of the alleged misconduct.
“He then took my hand and told me to ‘find the energy’ by guiding my hand and rubbing it on one of three places — my forehead, chest or my stomach,” he said.
“Each time the ‘energy’ in my stomach would get lower and lower until I had to navigate the remaining space left before having to touch myself. I felt ashamed and embarrassed,” he said.
Ricketson spoke alongside lawyer Lisa Bloom and fellow model Jason Boyce, who sued Weber in Manhattan on Friday.
Bloom said Ricketson’s claim was too old for prosecution or a lawsuit. She said Weber held Ricketson’s hand as the model followed his lead and rubbed his own genitals.
Ricketson said he believed that if he protested, he would have been “blacklisted” in an industry that gives extraordinary power to star photographers and the modeling agency gatekeepers who book all their jobs.
“If you wanted to work, you did what you were told,” Ricketson said Tuesday.
“Trying to cope with the trauma of what I’d experienced while staying silent all these years led to a battle with depression, addictive tendencies and struggling to form loving and lasting relationships,” he said.
Boyce, 31, said Tuesday that his alleged harassment at the hands of Weber also caused him to suffer “depression and anxiety.”
He further detailed an alleged encounter that was first outlined Friday in his Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.
Boyce said he visited Weber’s New York studio in 2014 at the behest of his modeling agent Jason Kanner.
“Bruce told me I was ‘tense,’ and did some breathing exercises with me,” he said. “He took my hand and put it on the waistband of my underwear. He pulled down so my underwear came off.”
He said Weber instructed him to find his “energy” and pulled his hand down so it was touching his genitals.
“He grabbed my arm and moved it back and forth, so I was forced to rub myself. He then took my hand and put it over his genitals. Then he put his fingers in my mouth, and said things like, ‘If you just had confidence, you’d really go far. How far do you want to make it? How ambitious are you?'”
Bloom said “many others” have reached out to her office with “similar stories” involving Weber.
Emails seeking comment that were sent to Weber’s studio Little Bear were not immediately answered Tuesday.
Boyce’s lawsuit, which also names Kanner as a defendant, is seeking damages for emotional distress in an amount to be decided at trial.
