A Bronx man slashed in the arm by two brutes who hurled gay slurs at him — the second time in less than five years he was knifed in a bias attack.

Marquis Devereaux was walking home from work and was near Sunset Blvd. and Neptune Lane in Clason Point at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

After the 39-year-old event planner sat by the water in his gated community, he heard someone say, “We’re not going to do any of that boyfriend stuff around here.”

Devereaux kept walking and was accosted by two other men.

One of the men slashed Devereaux in the left armpit with a silver knife and the other called him “homo,” “f—–” and “bumbaclot,” a Jamaican term for a rag used as toilet paper.

The suspects then fled. Devereaux called 911 and was taken to Westchester Square Hospital, where he got eight stitches for the knife wound.

“I’m not sure if the person thought I was following him or what,” he said. “I don’t understand why the whole interaction happened. It was two young guys no more than 25 years old.”

It was the second time that Devereaux was attacked for being gay.

In January 2011, a Queens man, Dario Reid, was sent to prison for three years for stabbing Devereaux in the leg while mocking his sexuality.

Queens prosecutors said at the time that Reid, 46, and his son Dario Reid Jr. held Devereaux down and beat him in a hallway.

“This has happened to me twice and the only thing I’m guilty of is being gay a week after Pride,” Devereaux told the Daily News on Tuesday. “”What is it that I’m doing it wrong?”

Devereaux noted that security around his complex had increased by Tuesday, but said it should have been better prior to the attack.

“I need to go to the hospital and get checked out. I still need to rest because I’m not where I need to be,” he added.

In a second, unrelated incident, a 22-year-old man was subjected to a homophobic slur and assaulted at a McDonald’s on W. 42nd St. near Broadway in Midtown on July 7 around 5:15 a.m.

The victim was talking with two friends when a man identified as Lesley Eugene, 24, of Miami overheard them and shouted, “”I don’t want to hear any more of that f—– s—!”

Eugene then grabbed the victim’s cell phone, smashed it and punched him in the face. A 16-year-old with Eugene then kicked one of the victim’s friends in the head.

Neither of the victims were taken to the hospital, sources said.

Eugene was charged with assault and harassment as a hate crime and criminal mischief, court records show.

He was arraigned on July 8 and remains in jail on a $2,500 bail. He has not been previously arrested in New York, police said.

The teen perp also was charged, but authorities would not release details due to his age.
