The cost of living has jumped 20% over the last five years in New York — but the Big Apple isn’t even in the top 20 most expensive cities in the world.

The price of food, clothing, utilities and other sundries has skyrocketed, according to the annual Economist Intelligence ranking released Tuesday — but Singapore remains the priciest burg.

Paris, Oslo, Zurich and Sydney rounded out the top five in the survey of 133 municipalities.

Singapore, the tiny city-state at the tip of Malaysia, earned its ignoble crown thanks to clothing that’s 50% more expensive than New York. Cars are three times as pricey there, according to the report.

New Yorkers said they don’t feel like they’re living in the 22nd most expensive city.

“It seems you have to be a billionaire to live here,” said Adam Johnson, a 30-year-old teacher who lives in Flushing.

The good news? You could always move to Karachi, Bangalore, or Caracas — the three least expensive cities in the survey.
