Another beloved junk food from the early 2000s is poised to make a comeback.
Hot on the heels of the resurgence of Surge, Mars has announced the return of Crispy M&M’s for the first time in a decade.
The colorful chocolate candies, which are officially called M&M’s Crispy, will hit U.S. shelves again in January.
M&M’s Chocolate Candies Senior Director Seth Klugherz told BuzzFeed that the Crispy revival has been in the works for months.
In fact, he said fans have been asking for its return “almost daily.”
“When M&M’s fans talk, we listen,” Klugherz said in a statement. “And consumers have made it clear that M&M’s Crispy are so irresistible, we had to bring them back.”
The candy was first released as a limited edition variety in 1998. Crispy M&M’s stuck around until 2005, but regained popularity as nostalgic millennials started associating them with their childhoods.
Crispy M&M’s are still available overseas, which has prompted some fans to shell out up to $20 on Amazon for a package of possibly stale candy.
The new batches will be sold in bright green bags and come in three sizes: singles, sharing size and medium laydown bags.
