The Terminator almost got terminated.
Arnold Schwarzenegger posted terrifying video from his trip to South Africa, showing an elephant charging his safari vehicle.
“I couldn’t have written this safari encounter better if it was a movie,” he captioned the video on Facebook.
“I’m absolutely in awe of these beautiful, strong animals, even though some of us had to change our pants after this.
“We need to stop killing them — take a photo, not a shot. Would you rather be able to experience these creatures or a hunk of ivory? I thought so.”
Uploaded Tuesday, the video starts with an elephant nudging his tusk at the safari vehicle.
A woman asks, “Is he backing up because of the engine?”
“No, he’s going to charge us,” Schwarzenegger says — with the utter lack of concern we’d expect from “The Last Action Hero.”
The elephant seems to lose interest for a minute, wandering off the road and into the bush. Then, suddenly, he starts charging and the safari-goers hit the gas and flee.
The former California governor was visiting South Africa to promote the Arnold Sports Festival, a newly launched annual multisport event.
He’s been filling social media with pics of his trip, including his visit to Nelson Mandela’s house and some dangerous-looking fun with a lion.
Hopefully he makes it back in one piece — because viewers will be looking forward to seeing him on the next season of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” where he’s taken over for Donald Trump as the show’s host.
