A father of six was shot and killed inside a Brooklyn brownstone just steps away from his wife early Wednesday, police said.

Senecca McCullough, 35, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was shot in the head and back inside the Quincy St. address near Throop Ave. at 12:44 a.m. — right around the corner from his family’s apartment.

His wife Penny, who declined to provide her last name, told police that they drove up to the address and McCullough went inside with a group of people.

A few moments later, shots rang out.

Those with McCullough ran out of the building and scattered.

Paramedics rushed him to Woodhull Hospital but doctors were unable to save him.

“I lost the love of my life,” Penny told the Daily News as tears stained her cheeks. “I have no idea what happened. I can’t even talk right now.”

McCullough’s mother wailed in anguish after police informed her of her son’s murder.

“I saw a woman running down the street screaming, ‘They Killed My Son! They killed my son!'” said an 83-year-old neighbor, who would only identify himself as John.

“I thought it was a dream,” the neighbor said. “I heard two gunshots and came out to see. The police arrived right away.”

“I went back inside,” he explained. “You gotta be careful. They could have shot some more.”

Neighbors said someone had just bought the long-abandoned brownstone.

The new owner has been seen walking around the neighborhood with a “scary pit bull,” said one neighbor who declined to provide a name.

“Nobody knows the people who moved there,” the resident said.

Neighbor Jamel Santana, 22, said McCullough’s family was overwhelmed with grief.

“Penny is miserable right now,” said Santana, who described McCullough as an “excellent father and a loving husband.”

“He was cool with everybody around this neighborhood,” he said.

Cops were still investigating the killing Wednesday and no arrests had been made.
