A California hooker accused of injecting a Google executive with a lethal dose of heroin may have committed the same crime in a different state – and just days before her arrest, she posted on Facebook about “killing sprees.”
Alix Tichelman, 26, was booked on a slew of charges that included second-degree murder, prostitution, destruction of evidence and drug possession for allegedly killing Forrest Hayes, 51 — who was found dead aboard his luxury yacht in Santa Cruz on Nov. 23, 2013.
If she killed him, the Silicon Valley big may not have been the Atlanta native’s first victim, authorities said. Santa Cruz police confirmed they are working with an agency in a different state on a similar case – one in which a victim was left in distress and died while Tichelman allegedly took off without calling for help.
“There’s a pattern of behavior here where she doesn’t seek help when someone is in trouble,” Santa Cruz Deputy Police Chief Steve Clark told the Associated Press on Wednesday, without elaborating further.
The escort posted on Facebook on June 28 that it was “really nice to talk with someone about killing sprees and murdering people in cold blood…and they love it too,” according to ABC News.
“No judgement. Yay!” she wrote on her page, which has since been taken down from the social networking site. “F— all of the positivity bulls—.” Take a look around you. Life is hard and then you die.”
Tichelman — who boasts more than 200 clients who pay top dollar for her services — was collared on Friday after police say she agreed to meet an undercover cop who posed as a potential client offering her $1,000 for sex.
Investigators said they tracked Tichelman down after going through several text messages and emails she exchanged with Hayes — a married father of five children — before he died.
Hayes had met the high-priced call girl through SeekingArrangement.com, a website that helps “sugar babies” hook up with rich, older men, police said.
The tatted-up Tichelman brought heroin when she went to Hayes’ yacht, which was docked at the Santa Cruz Small Craft Harbor, police said.
Surveillance footage from cameras installed inside the craft show Tichelman help inject Hayes with the drug before he passed out on the floor, cops said. But instead of calling for help, the prostitute started gathering her belongings.
It’s unclear if the Google exec was a regular drug user.
“She was so callous that she literally stepped over the victim’s body to retrieve her glass of wine and finish her glass of wine as the victim is laying there dying at her feet,” Santa Cruz Deputy Police Chief Steve Clark told KPIX-TV.
Tichelman, who hails from Georgia, even reached over and pulled down a window shade to shield any passersby from seeing the body, police said.
“She showed no regard for him,” Clark told the Santa Cruz Sentinel. “She was just trying to cover her tracks.”
The boat’s captain found Hayes dead the next day. Police said the captain was reluctant to hand over videos from the surveillance cameras because of the content, but eventually gave them after a judge’s order.
Tichelman, who describes herself as an aspiring model, makeup artist and exotic dancer on her social media profiles, was ordered held without bail after her arraignment on Friday.
On Twitter, she posted in March 2013: “when you least expect it, i will be lying in wait, you won’t know what hit you b—-.”
Hayes, who was originally from Dearborn, Mich., worked in the auto industry for several years before taking jobs with Sun Microsystems, Apple and Google, according to posts on a memorial website.
The page has since been taken down.
“Forrest will be remembered above all as a loving husband and father,” read his obituary, which was published in the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
“More than anything else he enjoyed spending time with his family at home and on his boat. His brilliant mind, contagious smile, and warm embrace will be missed and cherished in memories by his friends and family.”
