No matter what happens, this ought to be interesting: Coming up at approximately 1:15 p.m., Mayor de Blasio faces the press corps for the first time since he walked away from questions posed Friday about his police security detail flouting traffic laws. The mayor, who spent most of the weekend in Pennsylvania, will be speaking at Staten Island Borough Hall, where he had an earlier sitdown with Borough President James Oddo and other officials about the still-troublesome legacy of Hurricane Sandy and shoring up the city’s defenses against future storms.
