A sickly 58-year-old man was found bound and fatally beaten Wednesday in his studio apartment in Queens, cops said.

Noel Hidalgo was lying face-down with his hands tied behind his back and his head badly battered inside his home on Jamaica Ave. in Richmond Hill around 3:40 p.m., according to police. Hidalgo’s nephew made the gruesome discovery.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, cops said, but there was nothing they could do.

“He’s a beautiful person, he didn’t deserve to go like that,” said Hidalgo’s friend, who only gave his name as Charles.

“I don’t see any reason for this,” he continued. “He was sick. He couldn’t fight anybody.”

Another close friend said he was on his way home from the supermarket when he heard the horrific news.

“He was always a good guy,” said his friend, who only gave his name as Mike. “He didn’t bother nobody. Everyone knew him, he was always a lovable person.”

Cops had not made any arrests Wednesday.
