She was lost but now she’s found.
Karla Giraldo, the slashed gal pal of former New York state Sen. Hiram Monserrate, has talked to her lawyers for the first time in months, thanks to the Daily News.
Giraldo’s $35 million federal lawsuit, alleging that she was railroaded by cops and hospital workers to bring domestic violence charges against Monserrate, was in danger of being dismissed because her lawyers hadn’t been able to locate her for months.
But Giraldo’s cousin read a report in The News last week about the missing beauty and she contacted the lawyers.
“[Giraldo] has expressed her remorse for being absent without notice and for not leaving her contact information,” lawyer Mariam Ahmad stated in papers filed Tuesday in Brooklyn Federal Court.
