Not everyone is happy about Michael Phelps becoming a father.
The intersex woman who was revealed to be Phelps’ girlfriend at the time of his 2014 DUI arrest in Baltimore said that the news that Phelps and fiancee Nicole Johnson are expecting hit her hard.
“One of the hardest things ever for someone dealing with a gender challenge to deal with is an ex having a baby with another woman,” Taylor Lianne Chandler wrote on Facebook. “It reinforces that lack of self worth, (of not) being woman enough. It amplifies that void already felt.”
When Phelps was collared last fall, the National Enquirer reported that Phelps and Chandler were dating, with Chandler telling the tabloid that she “was born with male genitalia with no testicles, but I also have a uterus and no ovaries.”

Phelps has never acknowledged that he and Chandler were in a relationship, but she told the Enquirer that he contacted her on the dating app Tinder and that the two had sex on their first date, during halftime of a Ravens game. She told the Enquirer that Phelps was the first person to “make me feel like a true woman.”
But in her Facebook post, Chandler wrote that she lost her “privacy, career, and life as I knew it” as a result of Phelps’ DUI, which led to a six-month ban from competition for the Olympic champ.

“He took everything from me, so yes I am bitter. He made me emotionally crippled, broken and a mere shell of who I used to be,” Chandler wrote.
The 42-year-old also accused Phelps of being reckless in his promiscuity.
“You haven’t even scratched the service of who this man is and the events of the last year. Let’s just say he makes Charlie Sheen look like an amateur! I hope that baby is born free of STD’s. He’s not the safest when pursuing his extra curricular activities outside the girls he is ‘dating.'”
After his arrest, Phelps went to rehab and in February announced his engagement to Johnson.
