Six Harlem students were hospitalized Thursday after they were overcome by noxious pepper spray fumes, officials said.
Cops were investigating the incident, which occurred at 2:40 p.m. inside Public School 92 on W. 134th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd.
Witnesses at the scene said the pepper spray was released in the school’s cafeteria.
Sixteen students were being treated at the school, officials said. Six were later taken to area hospitals for further treatment. The students’ injuries did not appear to be serious, an FDNY source said.
