It’s been a rough summer for Jimmy Fallon.
Less than two months after suffering a horrific hand injury that almost left him with one fewer finger, the “Tonight Show” host chipped his tooth recently while trying to treat his mangled mitt.
“Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury,” Fallon said on an Instagram photo revealing his fragmented fang. “Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS! #BestSummerEver.”

Fallon’s latest ailment is minor compared to the gruesome hand injury, which he suffered in late June after catching his wedding ring on a countertop.
The talk show host spent 10 days in the hospital ICU, and then expounded on the incident when he returned to the “Tonight Show” on July 13.
“Apparently, the odds aren’t great and usually they just cut your finger off,” Fallon told the audience.
Luckily, it doesn’t look like Fallon will be out of commission for too long this time, as he concluded Friday’s Instagram caption by saying “Brand new Tonight Show tonight!”
