A Queens home was a hive of activity Monday night when 40,000 bees were discovered under the bedroom floor.

Retired NYPD Det. Anthony Planakis, known as Tony Bees, was called in by the owner to diagnose the source of a loud, buzzing noise.

Turns out a swarm took up residence at 47-03 168th St., across from Flushing Cemetery.

Using an infrared camera mounted on a pole, Tony Bees was able to find the honey pot – a colony living under the second-floor bedroom overhang by the home’s backyard deck.

The extraction took more than two hours. Honey dripped off the massive honeycomb as it was pulled piecemeal from under layers of siding and plywood by the beekeeper.

This infestation had a sweet outcome. The queen bee was found and the entire colony will be relocated upstate by another beekeeper.
