Planning to see “Gone Girl”? Get in the mood by listening to the film’s spine-tingling soundtrack.

Even though the album, a collaboration between Atticus Ross and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, won’t be released until Sept. 30, the entire soundtrack was made available to stream online on NPR’s website Thursday.

In “Gone Girl,” Nick (Ben Affleck) and Amy (Rosamund Pike) seem to have a perfect marriage, but the film chronicles the darkness underneath when Amy goes missing and her husband is the prime suspect.

The soundtrack echoes the film’s dark twists and turns, with NPR describing the music as “what can start off sounding like a picnic in the park quickly reveal(ing) a black sky.”

The “Gone Girl” soundtrack marks the third time the musicians have worked with director David Fincher. Reznor and Ross also provided music for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and “The Social Network,” nabbing the musicians an Oscar and Grammy for their efforts.
