ICYMI (which you might not have had you seen the listing in this morning’s all-revamped Wake-Up Call!) here’s incoming First Deputy Mayor Anthony Shorris speaking to WNYC radio’s Brian Lehrer earlier Monday…
Shorris, among Mayor-Elect Bill de Blasio’s first major appointees (a group that remains pretty small even with the inauguration just weeks away) backed up the new boss with a promise that expanding the city’s pre-K programs remains the “number one” directive.
He also riffed on comments de Blasio made following
last Friday’s sitdown with President Obama
and other new and incoming mayors at the White House, saying there’s a particularly good chance
to press the fight against inequality…
And, as did de Blasio’s incoming deputy for health and human services,
, during a news conference on her appointment last Thursday, Shorris also touched on what the city has — or hasn’t — done about homelessness during the Bloomberg Era…
