She’s the Captain’s big catch.

The name Hannah Davis is suddenly on everyone’s lips after the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was spotted leaving a Manhattan Starbucks with Yanks shortstop Derek Jeter on Wednesday — sporting sparkle on her ring finger.

While the couple isn’t tying the knot just yet, the Virgin Islands-born beauty has bewitched the Bombers’ serial bachelor, and everyone who’s worked with her.

“She walks into a room and you cannot do anything but look at her,” says Sports Illustrated senior editor MJ Day, who remembers the beauty as “sunshine in a bottle” when they met at a casting call. “Her eyes, her lips; she’s got an incredibly fit, athletic build.”

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Hannah Davis could take a guy’s mind off of baseball. “She walks into a room and you cannot do anything but look at her,” says an editor at SI.

Like Jeter, Davis has plenty of fans. She has been linked to 1OAK nightclub co-owner Richard Akiva and model Chad White.

“She’s gorgeous, and she has an amazingly confident, different look,” says Jared Shapiro, editor in chief of Ocean Drive magazine. (She was its July/August cover.)

The self-described island girl, discovered by a Ginny Edwards photographer at 14 while swimming and surfing, can keep up with Jeter in the athletic department.

“She’s fit, active and beautiful. Plus, she’s friendly and down to earth,” raves Fitness magazine photo director Toby Kaufmann, who snapped Davis for the September issue. “Also, she has the most amazing eyes!”

Those green irises and healthy curves landed her work with Ralph Lauren fragrances, American Eagle and Victoria’s Secret.

“There was a moment when she ran out into the water and jumped on a Jet Ski; just hopped up on there,” Shapiro recalls from the Ocean Drive shoot. “Tourists were all standing around saying, ‘Who is that?’ “

HER GREATEST LOVE OF ALL

The hottie is a huge Whitney Houston fan. “We spent every other car ride belting out Whitney to our fake hand mics, complete dramatic sweeps and gestures,” early BFF Zan Schmidt dished to Sports Illustrated’s SwimDaily blog.

COURTING FAME

“She’s gorgeous, and she has an amazingly confident, different look,” says Jared Shapiro, editor in chief of Ocean Drive magazine.

The swimsuit model played on the Virgin Islands volleyball team and was a Caribbean tennis star before owning the catwalk.

KISS & TELL

She may be locking lips with the Yanks’ heart-stopping shortstop, but Sports -Illustrated reports that the celeb with whom Davis most wants to film a kissing scene is Danny DeVito.
