If you’re flying in Europe this summer, a new website wants to help with your airport transfers.

Often one of the toughest parts of the journey, getting from the airport to a city can be shrouded in mystery, particularly for travelers arriving late at night or to a place that hasn’t earned its place in a Lonely Planet or Rough Guide book.

A new website at cityhook.com promises to solve that problem though, by offering quick and easy guides to every transfer option available to travelers in major European city.

Using the CityHook service, passengers can select their airport and city to be displayed with an overview of the options, which range from rail, subway, buses and taxis.

Each option is scored by ‘comfort’ and includes an approximate price in the local currency and in dollars, along with the expected time between the baggage belt and the destination.

Although the site is currently in beta, users will soon be able to add their own reviews of journeys to enhance the options on offer, co-founder Kevin O’Shaughnessy told Relaxnews, and the site will soon be expanding.

“Getting the listings for airport connections in Europe has been our focus until now – with over 300 airport-to-city connections and constantly growing. We’re planning our roll-out in North America, Latin America and Asia as we speak.”

A mobile app is also in the works, he confirmed, with a formal launch of the website and mobile apps ‘just in time for summer’.
